Ever catch a poisonous fish?

Never caught a poisonous fish but I have been pricked by a fin and ended up with a nasty infection as a result. Not fun...resulted in hand surgery.

The fish in some of the reservoirs around here are full of mercury. Does that count?

Speared a lionfish (toxic spines) and fed it to a spotted moray a few weeks ago. That was pretty cool.

While unhooking a small catfish for my sister in law and explaining how to hold them without getting horned, it wiggled and while I grasped it harder I shoved the barb of the fish through my finger. It was stuck clear to the side of the fish so I couldn't cut the barbed fin off. So I bit down and pulled it out of my finger along with some of my finger meat...I then wished the fish had been poisons so I would die! Some whiskey was needed quickly to ease my suffering!
