Yeti GOBOX Collection

Ernest Thompson Seton fans, who has photos of game tracks?

I had to google Ernest Thompson Seton. Name was not familiar, but it does look like his work is.
A couple pics - looked like an elk was running on this trail with a kitty behind it. Might be a coincidence, but though it was neat.

Bearr track in the Selkirks. Size 12 boots. Saw some large scat piles on the trail in as well:

Wolf.

Fun thread. Here are two cool tracks I've found while hunting over the years. First, a family of 3 bears travelling together. Then, my rifle laying in the middle of a pair of moose beds (rifle for scale).

Yes, porcupine. Don’t usually see distinct footprints. The tail and all that “plumage”usually just leave divots with lots of brush marks. Like a miniature snowshoer dragging a shop broom. 😁
That's cool. I see their tracks alot, but usually along well-worn trails in the winter, which are packed flat. I love that back and forth shop-broom look!

So this was kind of cool...Last fall I watched a buck and a couple does walk across a fresh, untracked snowfield up the mountain and decided to go after the buck. I got up there about an hour later and there were fresh lion tracks on top of the fresh deer tracks. The deer were bedded but all keyed on something down the hill, I shot the buck but never saw the cat. Pic is from his tracks the previous day, he was around the whole hunt.

Taylor Fork area, MT in mid May. Saw so many griz digs that it looked like the hillside had been mortared. Let's just saw we vacated that area.. Ended up seeing a boar and a sow getting friendly - must have been close to mating season.

Never saw it but we were in near white out conditions so barely missed it.
