Will either of these towns have a meat locker open during the elk archery season? Encampment was shutdown last year but hoping its open this year. Hoping Is for my luck!!:ROFLMAO:

Might look into Rock River Processing, they have a number listed, call and ask about Sept.
It is antelope season too so they may well be open then.

Unrelated, but the grocery store in Saratoga is a fun place. Lots of neat taxidermy. Cheap mint Grizzly. Liquor store attached.

I was in there last fall and Led Zeppelin was playing on their intercom. Sounded kind of strange at first, and after the second song started I recognized why- they were playing live cuts. Cool.

Saratoga is a net little town. The sausage they make at the grocery store is ok too.

Not to hijack the thread but have you used them/recommend them? Hopefully I will be looking for a processor in that area this fall.

I have not but have heard good things about them.
Good news for Saratoga sounds like Gynaroo.
I like the owners of North Park and have trusted them with all my meat since we moved to Laramie. Decent price. Clean meat. Good people.

not my thing but if your looking for the meat market just walk into the changing room at the Hot springs in Saratoga

North Park meats bought and changed/renovated Hansen meats in Encampment. Another good choice with their good name. Now that most of the general season is over. I’ve dropped of quartered cows into and through December.

Ill add to the thread that if you want a hell of a meal.in the area, the Divide restaraunt and lounge was terrific. Not the kind of food you'd expect in a town that small. Highly recommend it.
