Hi, new member here. Just looking for some thoughts about the Elk population and prognosis for this year. Specifically I’ll be hunting units 3 and 4 in late September, with a rifle. Any insights are much appreciated! I know the winter kill was very bad, is it too early for signs of recovery?

How do you know you'll be hunting in late September. The draw has not taken place.

I was guessing that the OP is hunting with an RFW tag secured through the ranch, not the draw.
