I agree exactly with shootbrownelk. I use a 150g TTSX in mine and took down an oryx with it, easily breaking bones in her. I also don't have to worry about lead splatter in nearby meat if I hit bone.

I love the lower recoil from 180s and 165s and how flat it shoots. I ended up learning how to reload to dial it in even better and avoid having to spend $40 a box.
 
I've shot a few elk with my Tikka 270 using 150 grain bullets. Good shot placement is key, and will work just fine.
