Early start to turkey season

Was driving out of town this morning to watch my grandson play HS baseball, hurtling down I-40 when a large blob appeared in the freeway ahead. Lying on the centerline was a dead gobbler, 11" or so beard flopping in the slipstream, waste of a nice bird. Assuming he was in flight and got too low, as I had one do the same right in front of me some years ago but he just missed the car ahead. Won't be long!

Skime Va is Priming up. I just hope it warms up a bit. But cool enough to keep the bugs and snakes at bay.
