My buddy will mount them up in velvet. Definitely did not scrape them clean. They mount a bunch of early season Whitetail down here that have velvet. He puts them in the freezer for a while and then they soak them in denatured alcohol. It’ll preserve the velvet, pull all the blood out of it. They turn out really great.
