Dumb question from the flatlander

For those of you who live in places with lots of snow...can you use a snowblower on gravel? I'm sure that's a dumb question, but I was asked and discovered that I didn't know the answer.

sure, as long as there arn't to many big rocks...

Most blowers will have adjustable skids so you can set the "depth of cut" to eleminate gouging your surface. I have never had a problem with my gravel drive.

Thanks for the info, guys. I had assumed there was some sort of "cut" adjustment, but the wife had visions of gravel spewing everywhere and wouldn't take a "surely not" as an answer.

I always liked the sound of the gravel breaking the windows of the house and cars when I did it. I just made sure I pointed the direction of flight away from my house and cars.

Not a problem d. Although gravel going through the snowblower does make a cool sound.

D , the "cut" adjustment works better if the gravel isn't new and deep.

I think your wife is right , you need to use a scoop.
