We got out for a quick walk this morning. Decided we’d wait for a cooler day

Had the puppy out for her first hunt yesterday. Got a couple retrieves in but kept it short due to the heat. View attachment 416464

Went out again today with the whole family. Ended up finding a great spot intercepting the birds on the way to water.

We will have a few nights of poppers and my son insists on keeping the hearts from every animal. He cooks them up himself. View attachment 416466

Take the hearts, livers, gizzards…chop em up, sauté w onion, garlic, jalapeno, salt/pepper, roux n milk….hell of a good gravy
