double main beam buck and antelope

I actually got trail cam pics of him several times. Once was before his antlers were fully developed and that got me pretty excited. The next set of pics were a month later and the one above is from that set. I couldn't hardly believe a deer like that was running around down there (we usually only see "typical" antlered deer). The last trail cam pics were taken almost two months later and only 5 days before my lucky day. I had gotten concerned about not getting a pic of him for a couple months and thought I might not ever get to see him in the woods. As it ended up, the only time I did get to see him (other than on film) was the morning I got to harvest him. I know I was lucky, especially with a bow ... but I do wish I could have gotten to observe him in the woods more while hunting.
 
here is a different angle .. they were not separate. .. so was it damage or genetics or injury ? what would it have looked like next year ?
