Just buy a Chevy in either the Vortex 6.0 or 327. Both are great engines. Most construction/mining companies that use 3/4 or 1 ton buy/lease either Chevys or Fords in either diesel or gas, I've seen a few Dodges on Right-of-way work, but that was most before 2007. As the saying goes, everyone needs a good Dodge diesel once in their life.

I just picked up a Dodge Ram 1500 with the eco diesel and albeit a short time, I couldn't imagine owning any other truck. Hopefully, over the next decade, my opinion doesn't change.

I /my wife has the 15 Eco diesel. It’s a good truck. Rotella now has Dodge approved oil. I used Amsoil until the new Rotella came out. No complaints.
