I’ve been practicing my elk calls in my car on the way to work. The last week has been ungodly hot and they are very difficult to blow, if they work at all. The two I’ve been using are Phelps. Could the heat in the car during the day stretch the latex to where they won’t work? And if I bring them in the ac will they work again? Thanks in advance

Absolutely! Your calls are most likely shot, the latex can fatigue during those hot temps, it doesn't take much! If guys chew or drink lots of soda that too can shorten latex life, those things are acidic. Once the latex fatigues they are history, there's no bringing them back to original state!
