My bad. Pointer's question pointed out (pun intended) I read jims sentence out of context and wasn't clear enough with "...and the ability to send an SOS..." By that phrase I meant that except for satellite communication, all those jims listed are available in one unit. So no, there's nothing available that I'm aware of that has all the things you listed, PLUS satellite connectivity. Sorry for the confusion.

I got the SE via the same logic as Cushman-still need the GPS for other stuff.

Hey all,
Just to clear it up a little the HUNT by onXmaps works on Garmin units, computers, and smart phones/tablets. I know there are other needs in this post but I just wanted to chime in. Thanks.

Just got the inreach se on Saturday. Seems to be a great unit. Paired to the smartphone makes it super easy to send text. Wife and family is happy I picked one up as I normally hunt solo.
