Bought this in September and used it on my solo elk/deer hunt in October. Worked flawlessly to keep me in touch with family. The service is available annual or monthly. One month unlimited was about $75 if I recall correctly. I also paid $20 for the S&R annual membership which may be transferrable with the unit.
