I had a pretty good day today. Filled a doe tag this morning and followed it up by filling my buck tag in the evening. Making good progress on filling the freezers.

Both shot with a Howa 1500 6.5 Creedmoor with 120 grain TTSX.

Congrats! Those 120 gr ttsx bullets are money. We've taken a handful of animals with them from 6.5 creed and 7mm-08. They always shoot small groups and do their job very well.

Nov 1st Whitetail. Shot just shy of 7,000 ft on USFS with the 7-30 Waters.

This fawn hung around a little too long. Granddaddy's gun - Remington 700 (circa 1975) .243, fixed 4x scope, and Remington Core-Lokts - still works plenty well.

CO DIY public land buck, but with a huge amount of help from a couple of fellow hunttalkers. After hunting mule deer a few years now starting to get a little better at hunting them, but the excitement definitely hasn’t reduced!
