I have tried several different decoys but since I usually hunt by myself I don't care for any of the Montana type decoys. First you have find a good way to carry them, then they have to be deployed and you have to get ready for the shot. Sometimes the wind is blowing which can cause problems. Just too much going on. I currently use the hat type. The only disadvantage I see is looking silly and the chance that someone might see me wearing it but...I was wearing the hat when I shot my last buck. If I am hunting with a partner I will bring the Montana decoy and the hat, by myself, just the hat.
