Deadhead / Euro method test

Alright last sou vide question, are you guys also cooking with the same one? I’m not sure what my wife would think if she knew I was using the same one to cook with
I’ve got a separate one for euro’s but I do separate out the clean water from the euro water and only heat the clean. Probably not necessary but works well for keeping the Sousvide clean. I’ve done 4-5 heads with the same bag and will probably get a couple more out of it. IMG_6558.jpeg

Damn, that's a great idea.

I’ve cooked with mine while doing an elk euro, the meat was triple bagged for safety, no issues at all

I have no idea how long it takes to heat up. I literally turn it on and don't look for 8-10 hrs.

Temp like 140-145F I find is good for keeping all the delicate structures intact
I guess I meant the whole overall process time?

Oh, it prob takes 2-3 days to do a good job. Active time over that is about 20-30 min.

I generally set it at night and check the next morning, add water then set for the day at work. Change water and and spray off meat/junk after work, set again for the next night. Do that until complete. I also don't whiten skulls, cooking with Oxyclean whites them decently enough for me

Having a barn and being lazy, I simply use tank heaters and in 7 days of soaking the heads are ready to powerwash and degrease. Very little time on my part. Having a barn or outbuilding is pretty much required.

I do skin, pop lower jaw off, remove eyes and brain. Removing brain has been very beneficial to keep odor down.

I've done several deadheads as well and those won't be clean for about 2-3 weeks on average. A fresh head is done in 7 days with 95 degree water.
