I just picked up a pair of Danner Proghorn boots today from a local shop. I decided to got with the uninsulated version, as my uninsluated boots I already had are headed to the scrap heap in a hurry after working in them nearly everyday this summer in Hells Canyon. I like a fairly light, comfortable boot for september elk hunting, plus I have a heavy pair of White's Pacs if the weather gets real cold and ugly. They seem real comfortable so far, leather is pretty soft and the sole flexes/grips pretty well it seems. I'll give a good update in a few weeks after elk season kicks off and I've had time to break them in, although I think break in should be pretty fast with these guys.

Best boot I've ever had Tone. Also have the uninsulated...worked perfectly with some good wool blend outfitter's socks last year in the snow...feet never got wet or cold. They're about 18 months old and have been used extensively...still in good shape.
