Played hooky last Friday and somehow found the Dallas Convention Center without my antiquated Tom Tom. Pretty much same ol same ol...lots of rich types in jeans and thousand dollar blazers, dudes in pith helments and safari shorts, and barbies in tight fitted kaki selling Sports Afield subscriptions. I paid the most attention to the optics and rifle booths with my vote cast for the Remington Custom shop offerings...bang for buckwise. I almost escaped unscathed except fot the EuroOptics set up right beside the exit. A Z3 Swaro 4x12x50 later I was out the door with what I thought was a helluva bargain only to discover later at home that Bearbasin and Cameraland offered em for the same price.
