I would also be kinda leary. anybody who charges more for a moose hunt and the same as a griz hunt, makes me kinda wonder teh area this guy hunts in.

I havent heard anything bad about the guy, but that doesnt really mean much.

If a guy could pic it up on Ebay for $5,500 and then add a grizz for 3k that would be a sheep and a grizz hunt for $8,500 ? Thts cheaper then most people sell Grizz hunts for. I know it's hard work for an outfitter to line everything up but some of us don't need the babysitting job others do, we have many a hunts under our belts and would just like to oportunity to hunt AK and not go broke !!!

I wonder if there are any Trophy fees added on once you kill an animal ?

The outfit could be legit and just wanting to book clients. It would be nice to hunt with someone that still makes it afordable (Being relative to the overpriced maffia prices outfitters in Alaska have) for the folks looking to hunt AK but don't want to finance their house with a 2nd and 3rd morgage to do so.

I might drop him a line to see. This year is out for me probably ..... but that number , if legit, would be nice to cash in on !!!

On another board some guys were discussing this auction and the folks that know this guy swear up and down about him. All positive. maybe for once it is just a good deal.

Well I don't know anything about the guy. Just saw it on another board and figured I'd post it. No one over there had anything bad to say either. Since the hunt is for this August I'm thinking he might have had a cancelation and is making up the difference with that guys downpayment. I wouldn't say any of the 3 rams he has posted on the website are monsters, but on the other hand any legal ram is a trophy.
It will be interesting to see what he says.

What I don't get is you can hunt Moose from 6k-12k. I mean really, how much different is a 12k hunt then a 6k hunt ? I know some guys work harder for you then others but they should have 2 prices, one for hunters tht jsut want to hunt, and then prices for the ones that are rich shooters and that need babysitting...

Drop-off in an outfitted camp vs a guided hunt, or 1 week vs 2 weeks

Just guessing but those seem to be the most common options

Tbone, I recieved an Email from him and am starting a coorispondance. He sounds like a Straight shooter with a good sence of humor. Sounds like it could be more like a hunting partner then a guide. The kind of people we like to deal with. He told me he doesn't serve food with "hooters" girls, just covers his costs and makes some money. That made me laugh. He has one spot open left for this year and some next year. I'm gonig to call him and talk to him a little more. It would be nice to have someone on this site "test run" it... I think you're the man T-bone
