I guess I meant does anyone have a good recipe. I would be interested in it. My cousin sent my a bunch of crab meat and I would enjoy a good crab cake.

Paws,
I don't know what your problem is but hope you get over it soon.

Nemont

I don't have a problem Nemont; well except someone broke into one of my vacant rentals and took the furnace, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sink, counter tops, dinette set, washing machine, dryer, and all the ceiling light fixtures! Oh and the back door too!!

-Pick Crabs leaving meat in as big a lumps as possible, a smidgen of chopped celery, well beaten eggs to hold the meat together and bread crumbs dried in the sun to give the cake substance. A sprinkle of red pepper, a touch of sea salt and a little crab boil spice. (A touch of onion only if needed) Fry until golden brown. Shape like small tomatoes and leave lumpy where the good crab meat shows beneath the breading. Deep Fry until browned. Use a good cooking oil that is taste neutral like canola probably is best and fry at about 325 until they are nicely browned and start to smell really good. For your spices use old bay or bay shore boil. Oh, chill the crab meat and for that matter the crab cake for a while after it is formed. fry only two or three at a time.

What kind of spice????? I like to use file', ground sassafrass leaves, and bay leaves ground to a powder. But be careful with them, they both have very strong flavors. Drives everyone nuts trying to figure out what it is. :D
