Well I just got off the phone with my father. Guess what he just purchased? Yep you got it. a '06 corvette Z06. I was surfing around all the pages there are out there on the specs of this car. Holly crap ! hump

What a machine this car is.... it has a 427 cu inch SMALL BLOCK. This is something new that chevy developed. Producing..................505 HP hump hump

Oh ya, 0-60 in 4 sec. 1/4 mile in 10 :BLEEP:

I am not sure what all options the got in it because I lost him on his cell. He is driving from Boise to Moscow as I type this. Some of you know what kind of reception you get.. SUCKS!

I was reading that the transmission has 2 settings, normal and sport. In the normal mode it has preset shift points that help in fuel economy and wear and tear. In sport you can select within a peramiter of where you want it to shift. I new puter chip ensures that this is met. There is a all new sensor in the seats to determine if a child or adult is in the passenger seat for air bag deployment. Heated and cooled seats of course. The list is amazing.

I asked him what caused this sudden impulse. He said that he went down to look at the new GTO. And as he turned around he saw "The VETTE" and told the salesman "I'll take that one" Out the door with 4 miles on it. Man I gotta get into his buiseness. I told him that I want a piece of it and he said OK, I will call you tomarrow and let you know how much I need to come up with and start making some Green. I am still not sure all the details on his new venture but I am deffinately interested. Hell he just paid cash for this thing. I think that kind of work is right up my alley.. I will keep you posted after I find out exactly all the details. Keep your fingers crossed.

My Dad works in the Vette plant in KY. its amazing the options that they offer for it. Its somewhere over 300.

Last year chevy brought a couple of vettes to europe to "run" the autobahn. They smoked alot of the european cars. chevy got alot of orders after that promo.

I hope your dad loves his car.

Good to know if you want a new vette. Chevy is increasing the output so more should be on the showroom.

Ya you dont have to talk to me about the AUTOBAHN ! I lived there for 9 years... But the american cars cant do it day in and day out like the B-mers, and Mercs. I had a friend that thought his 5.0 could do it day in and day out... That lasted about 8 months... The rear end came apart at 110 mph. There were peices of it for about 1 mile. Now the Vette could probably hang a lot longer, but I wouldnt want to see if my 64K Vette could do it all the time...
