Completely senseless

I hunted that back in 2015, I think. I did take a young whitetail buck on one of the WIAs, but saw very few overall. We saw probably 30 mule deer for every one whitetail. Locals said EHD had been through, hopefully it's improved.

Hunting pressure was light through the week, very heavy on the weekends.

A lot of mulies, a few elk, no whitetails yet. Cool hunt though, haven't hunted riverbottoms since I left the south, brings back a lot of memories. 124 has some pretty decent WIAs

Well, 1 tag filled, and I'm done. Hardest hunt ever, I've never covered so much distance hunting whitetails before, the packout was grueling. Top marker is my truck, middle is where I sat, lower is where the doe fell
I do kinda miss the simplicity of WT hunting.

hell I just drive 6hrs round trip back to back days this weekend to hunt ducks. No need for sleep when you have adrenaline!

I've been known to drive 10 hours round trip for about 6 hours of good fishing.

Haha it would, well I have a wall tent, but the second trip wasn’t decided until 10pm the night before. It was an ah screw it let’s Just do it type of deal.
