My February 2022 issue of American Hunter magazine arrived today. Page 41 has a notice from Colt, about a safety recall regarding certain Colt MSR Rifles. It seems the rifle will "discharge when the trigger is released by the shooter". More info, including model #'s and serial #'s can be found at ColtRepairMSR.com Recall was initiated in November 2021.

As in the firearm will discharge when the trigger is reset? Am I understanding that correctly?

What I understand is when you are firing the rifle, the rifle fires when trigger is depressed (normal), then when releasing the trigger it will fire again (very bad). This probably happens so quickly that the shooter thinks he is experiencing a slam fire, but if you didn't let the trigger go forward after firing, it won't fire until you release the trigger.
