Nowhere in that article did it mention what pronouns a Colorado wolf prefers, so how am I supposed to avoid misgendering one when an encounter happens? My "sturdy stick" for defense is effective out to at least 500yds if I have a solid rest, so I'll just pass on the emergency whistle.
