So drew a cow tag for 4th rifle this year for 49 in Colorado. I have spent some days out there scouting where I think they will be during that time, but honestly, would love some feedback or advice in terms of where to look.
The southern part of the unit had a lot of signs of elk, the looked to be 6-9 months old, so last winter. I am not sure if they will be down there in that part for 4th rifle yet, or still further on up.
Anyone have any experience with this GUM and season? Would be grateful for any assistance or advice. Even debating getting an outfitter for a few days to give me some pointers (willing to entertain non-outfitters as well) up there.
