Can your hunting rights be bought?

On the OTHER hand, it could give them another cheap shot to use against hunters saying we're not REALLY interested in hunting after all. They could claim success and use it for more recruitment and fundraising.

Bears are meh.
Make the topic interesting.😉
If you drew a Bighorn sheep tag and could sell it, say for something similar to the money generated by State raffles, would it raise an eyebrow?
100%. I'd sell it for 1.3 mil and go hunt dalls.

If I'm giving up a tag for more/different hunting opportunities, I'd say you're wrong.

I think it’s reasonable to think about this. Where’s your line? Would you give up hunting completely for $25k? 50? 100? 200? 500? Mil? I’m talking about signing a legally binding contract, with zero loopholes. No what about international… I’m talking zero hunting.

Nope, you couldn't put a number to that for me. I have way too many priceless adventures and experiences you can only get while hunting. I'd be a miserable SOB if I couldnt hunt. I'm hoping to have decades of hunting ahead of me too.

What's the point.

What's the point.

It is good to introspect. It helps you identify your beliefs and values. Where do you stand? The point is that in life we need to constantly measure our lines? Some shift and some don’t. Why would they shift?

It’s easy to believe that no one will ever to try to buy your hunting rights. What would you do to keep them? What would you give them up for?

I meant what would be the point of giving up hunting for any dollar amount. I guess I should've said "no".

Im at the end of my hunting life, id give it up for a price so long as I can still tag along on hunts with my son and my friends. I'm just as happy behind binos as I am behind a rifle scope these days. Give up going on my kid's hunts? No price tag on that
