Arches & Canyonlands should be on that itenerary. As should Monument Valley & Valley of the Gods. A bit out of the way, but in line with the trip laid out so far.

Valley of the Gods is south of the east entrance to Canyonlands (you'll want to go to that side, great hikes & cool scenery from the bottom of the canyons). I'd recommend the motel at Mexican Hat. Nice & clean with super thick adobe walls.

VotG is BLM land, so no entrance fee. It has some WIlderness Study Areas in there too, so great hiking with some Anasazi ruins in the deeper slot canyons. Monument Valley is nice for an auto-tour, but it's pretty touristy.
