Question for you California natives.

Am I reading the regulations correctly that there are no tags for turkeys in California? And a season limit of 3 birds?

Any clarification will help. I just want to make sure I'm reading this right.

Thanks

That is correct. No tags. You must however purchase an upland game bird stamp. The bag limit for the spring season is 1 bearded turkey per day. The possession limit is 3 per season. The cost for the upland game bird stamp is around $7. The season opens on March 29th.
