Broke out the recurve

A Stalker Stickbow made by South Cox in CO.
I have been contemplating getting my next bow made by him. I cannot decide between a Stalker Stickbow or a Schafer Silvertip. I need to visit both and shoot them to finally decide.

What made you decide to try a Stalker specifically?

I’ve known South for years and he’s a big supporter of P&Y…....and I needed a lower poundage nowadays. My Brackenbury (built by Jim) was a bit much to shoot comfortably today. Has nothing to do with age though. 😂

I have a Brackenbury built by Jim. It is way too heavy though (75# at 31”). I was shooting heavy poundage compounds when I ordered it so I thought I needed a heavy recurve. I shot 2317s out of it. I have since recognized the folly of my youth and my most recent bow was 55 pounds.
