Boots for kids

Anyone have any good ideas for some good hiking boots for kids? My oldest is almost 8 and the past 2 years he has had to suffer with either hiking in his bogs or his school shoes. It sucks that I will probably only get 1 maybe 2 years before he grows out of them, but I have 2 boys younger than him that could potentially end up using them when they grow into them.

REI garage has been the go to for my 7 year old. We usually buy them just big enough to get a season and a summer of hiking as well.

Spring and summer is the time to find deals on fall boots IME. I periodically check both Amazon and Cabelas for deals. I hit upon a set of Rocky boots for my son for $50. But, what I've learned is that it's going to cost and yes they'll grow out of it. Having two younger should help take the sting out of the cost. We got two years out of the Rockys and now they are waiting for his younger brother to grow into them.
