Notice to All Hunters - BLM Seeking Public Comment

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) wants hunters to know that it is considering the proposed Buffalo Horn Land Exchange, which would change public access in Units 11 and 211. To learn more, please visit the BLM's Buffalo Horn Land Exchange page.

The BLM is evaluating how it manages roads and trails in northwestern Colorado. The agency wants hunters to be involved to provide perspectives about both access and reducing impacts to wildlife. To learn more please visit, the BLM's White River Field Office page and theLittle Snake Field Office page.

Anybody up to speed on this proposal? Buffalo Horn is an RFW participant.

Not the first time this happened it that part of CO. In 2009 BLM traded 15416 BLM acres, sold to private, and bought 4139 acres of land from the State. Some of parcels were small and land locked, others had decent access and good recreational opportunities.

I have concerns with exchanging the parcels that have public access in proposed exchange.
