Does anyone have any advise for me. I have been in there twice scouting, it's about twenty miles on horseback just to look at the unit. One of my main questions is to go early or late. The first week of October or the first week in September.

I've spent some time in 27-2. You're in for an adventure.

I'd recommend planning two 10 day trips. One early, and one late if needed.

Best of luck.

What he said! Though I was just a tag-a-long on the hunts, it can be a mentally draining hunt. Keep a positive attitude! Good luck!

PS- Not sure of that unit's boundaries, but if the weather cooperates I'd also think about accessing via the river for the late trip.

If I had time for only one trip, I'd hunt the end of the season. The weather is cooler and the sheep should be more active.

I've hunted the unit once for sheep. PM me and I'll tell you what I know. I didn't kill so my info may be worthless.
