While it is beautiful, You get beautiful sunsets almost anywhere with clouds. You get them here in Louisiana too.

What you guys really get is a beautiful blue sky when the sky is clear.... plus you can see for forever as the forests are opened up and you don't have the humidity to refract the light like here. One of the reasons I want to move West.

Here is a big sky sunset that got me to stop on the way home from a bird hunting trip. The Crazy Mountains on the horizon are right at 100 miles away.

There sure is a lot of plains from eastern Montana to those Crazies one of my favorite sites to see. You know you have hit the rockies....
