Big Ones (photos)

Thanks

"This one went about as smoothly as backpack hunting can. 2011--500 yd" - quote from Snowymountaineer. Hey, Snowy - I think your picture of your very nice buck and the high mountain basin you took him in is the "best" in this thread!
Thanks Mike, that is really a nice compliment. Photo and partner credit to Carl Ross.

Not my biggest antelope but the best time ever with my little hunting buddies.

Come on ladies - there's more out there I'm sure. Here's some photos I took of a good buddy that I've hunted with a lot over the years. I think these are his best, though I know he's taken whitetail and moose, but I wasn't there with a camera. The bull is in the 380s gross, not sure on the others the goat is livesize mounted in the Buff Bill museum in Cody, WY. All are MT public, except for the goat, which was private.

My best black bear, 2010 SE Alaska, public land DIY. The shot was 25 yards with a Ruger .270. His teeth were pretty worn down and busted up. He dropped right in the creek there, in one of those pics you can see a humpy swimming behind him.

My biggest lion, Gallatin CO. MT, 2006. 14 3/16 P&Y. This cat was killing elk on some private property and many were gunning for him, all looking for tracks down low. My wife and I cut his smokin' fresh track at 4 AM on Forest Service above the ranch he had been hunting elk on. Very short chase as his stomach was full to the max with elk meat.

Lucky Mike is a lucky man. Great pictures! I also harvested a moose up Beaver Creek several years back. My grandpa put in for that tag (I believe 309) for 32 years and never drew it and I drew it my first year applying.

Found the turkey in eastern Colorado last spring. The bear was taken in Colorado with a 50 cal front loader in 2010, and I just found out he officially quilifies for B&C. The deer is from Kansas, no idea what it scores but I sure like him...
