Pecan Lodge is my favorite. We eat there when we're in town. Cattleack is solid as well.

If you go to Pecan, sit at the bar and skip the lines unless you have kids; its Deep Ellum, so it can be colorful when alcohol is added.

I ate at the Lakewood Smokehouse last year, it was excellent to me, but I'd trust these southern boys...

Cousins BBQ - I could drink that sauce! The meats are good but that sauce is nothing like any other sauce i get up here in CO.

You're coming from Co, any bbq in Texas will taste impeccable compared to the overpriced shoe leather they serve in the Denver area

Pecan for me as well, however, there are a number of great places and some of them mentioned already. It’s easy to start splitting hairs.
