Benelli LUPO rifles

Just picked one up in 300 win mag.

It is definitely ugly, but:

The quality is OUTSTANDING, it feels like what I paid for it

I love where the safety is located

The action of the bolt is like buttery glass

The buttstock adjustability is almost endless and Benelli provides everything you need to change it

The ergonomics feel very nice. The angle and grip around the trigger is perfect. Natural. Almost makes me wonder why rifle makers couldn't think of this sooner.

Comes with a 2-piece picatinny rail already installed

Trigger is excellent, but I only dry fired it a few times

Slightly bummed it doesn't have bolt lock feature when loaded

I already put the APA gen2 little bastard on and eventually I'll be putting some VX5HD glass on top of it and once I shoot it in, I'll report back here

I realize this thread is a little old, but you mention not having a bolt lock. I have a Lupo 308 and I really miss having a bolt lock position on the safety. Is there an aftermarket option to add it? The gun is the most accurate I have ever shot, but when on the back of my pack, I have knocked the bolt open a couple of times.

Don't expect an answer. He hasn't been here for 4 years.

Not an answer to your question but just makes me happy to see another person understand the importance of a bolt lock. I recently handled the Seekins PH3 and was shocked the bolt doesn’t lock. The gun was really well thought out by hunters and to me this is a make or break in a rifle. I thought maybe they usually strap the rifle to their packs but even doing so usually my bolt handle is facing out so it could get snagged and open just like happened to you.
