Bench rest Primers

Needed some small rifel primers so I went to our local gun shop and all they had were Federal Bench Rest primers. Is there any difference in these primers from standard primers other than the price?

Needed some small rifel primers so I went to our local gun shop and all they had were Federal Bench Rest primers. Is there any difference in these primers from standard primers other than the price?

Supposedly they're more uniform and consistent from lot to lot and within lots. I've used them in pistol and rifle and I do seem to have fewer variations in velocity spread, etc than with standard primers.
