So what do you guys do with your hides? Especially some of the bear hunters around here that have quite a few, I'd like to see how you display your hides. Lets see some pictures!

I currently have mine drapped over the back of my couch but I'm out of room so I'm looking for some new ideas.

This guy keeps an eye on the fridge for me.

Before my wife made me paint the great room......

and the recent look....

The big one I killed last year is on the back of the couch but the wife isn't a huge fan. The sucker is so big I can't find a place to hang it.

Mine is still in the garage cuz the wife thinks it still stinks... but thanks for reminding me as she's gone this week, maybe I can sneak it in somewhere. Will probably end up over the couch or the foot of the fireplace.

I've got 2 on the wall but they aren't on the walls I want :D They are upstairs. I only have the 2 and have been given orders that I can only shoot another one if it's bigger than the previous.

I went over to a friends that has shot loads of bears and his are tanned hanging from and upright post. They are expensive to mount.

A friend hangs his from the Loft Balcony, looks good that way. The wife said my Bare Hide had too many sagging parts. I'll post pictures later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL John

This sounds interesting...can you ellaborate? Just got a call from the taxidermist saying he has a my 2011 hide done and I need to figure something out. I was thinking about mounting an elk shed to a piece of barn wood and then hanging that on the wall and hang the hides off of the points of the shed. Just looking for some other ideas...

I like your elk shed barnwood idea. Or if you could incooperate a log going up to the ceiling with antlers attached and hides hanging from that, it would be awesome. If you do get that to fly with your wife your the man:D

His wasn't real fancy it was just a bachelor pad with lots of dead critters.

I had 1 rug made and the rest I just have tanned and I hang them up in the garage.

I have gone a bit "bear crazy" the last five years and have six of them. One is life-sized, two are rugged, and the other three are tanned laying in a pile in a closet. The sad part is I am a taxidermist, yet I still have a few laying around!
Here is a pic of my lifesize:

I have 3 rugs on the wall and another 4 tanned hides. My goal is to get one this year with the bow that's big enough for a life size.
