Baush and Lomb Balvar 8A 2.5-8 scope.
It looks like it has never been mounted, there are no ring marks that I can see. Selling for a friend. $100 shipped to your door.

Yes they need adjustable mounts.

I haven’t looked to hard, but how hard are the mounts to find?

I haven't seen any but then again I haven't been looking. Probably check with some of the older gunsmith's or check out the gun shows in your area.

Tons of the mounts on ebay for decent prices.

I had a Balvar 2.5x8 w/ the turret adjustments (later version than this). Incredible glass for it's age, and they are tough scopes. I loved mine.

Perfect scope for a vintage hunting rifle.
