Spent three days on the road getting to ND including a night in Billings MT. Thanks to all who gave good intell on where to eat. Had a drink at Montana Brewing before dinner at Jakes downtown.
Spent 4 days hunting wild pheasants on private crop land, creeks and CRP north of Reeder. Ended up one bird shy of 4 days of limits for our group of 4 senior gentlemen (74-78) and three young bucks (45-46). On the dog side was 3 pointers aged 2,5 and 12 and a pair of labs 2 and 5ish.

We made it home in two days despite the October snowstorm that made the trip to Pocatello take 14 hours. Another 14 hours back to Sonoma county the next day finished the 9 day bonding session. 3B0D367A-D138-441F-BBEF-2831118BE58F.jpeg2231B038-D236-4630-8C76-6846E6A44131.jpeg099839CA-4E47-4D10-A4FC-6DC0E449EA88.jpeg4393872E-70BB-4147-BDC2-04388C9AB9B4.jpegA9CE696C-1690-491F-AC6B-A757D00283DF.jpeg761E3382-3241-47D6-869D-DE141AC46438.png

Glad you had a good time! We just got dumped on and getting more tomorrow. Not looking good for waterfowl lol

looks like a good time. The vacuum bags, do you know if they put a piece of paper towel in it, or was is that part of the bag? One of those, why didn't I ever think of that moments

The bags were the "Dam Bags" with the integral absorptive strip. I'd always used a paper towel but I'll ask my dad where he got his.
