Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and brand new to elk hunting. I live in AZ and hopefully will have enough points to draw a general 23 late bull tag. I just have a few questions I hope some of you could help me with. First, how steep or large of canyons hold I expect to find them in? I am in good physical shape so I'm not too worried about having to bring one out on my back. How much will a bull travel over the course of a week? In the case I locate one I'm wondering the likelihood he will be close by when I return. And last When to start scouting? Late October? The hunt is December 1st so Im thinking all of November just not sure if October is too soon. I appreciate any information.
