So my wife pulled a tag for 22 north late archery and I don't know much about the area. If any one has some advise it would be appreciated. Like campgrounds that are in good locations for a 26ft. trailer or even areas to start looking east side vs west side of the rim. I would love to just narrow a starting point down. Thanks in advance !!!

FWIW I hunted 22 for mule deer and coues in January. Didn't run into any elk where we were at but barnhardt road looked to have great access to get you back in pretty far in the center of the unit. There were plenty of pull offs for camping and the road was pretty well maintained.

Good luck! How have your past hunts turned out that you've asked about on the forum? It's always nice to see a report when people return from a hunt.

Well NoWiser sir I haven’t had lots of luck but I have met some great folks! The last hunt with me kids went ok my shot a javelina but we never did find any bucks. Lots of doe’s. Learned a lot and spent time with my family what else could you ask for! Sorry for not reporting back. My bad

Excellent. Folks here are more likely to take the time to help you out if they think they’ll get a post-hunt report. Wish I could help you with 22. I’ve driven through it and it is some cool country.

Never had the tag myself, but have spent a fair amount of time poking around. Shoot me a PM and I can point you in a couple directions.
