I coached my three daughters in two different sports till they went off to college. Worked out with them, practiced with them, ran bleachers etc…BUT my youngest girl was born when I was 40, fast forward to when she was 18 (and me 58) and I started to find “more important” things to do on conditioning days lol.

Helped a 72 year old pack out bull last Fall. 12 years my senior and he is still at it. It was fun. mtmuley

A few years ago, I was sawing a fallen tree that was blocking the trail. It was in a spot that made getting around it a little dicey on horseback. A young man was coming down the trail, carrying an elk quarter. He collapsed to rest, about fifty yards from my brother and I. His partner had wrenched his knee, and wasn't able to help pack the elk meat. He had been leap frogging the elk meat off the mountain, and still had close to two miles to go.

He asked if we could pack the meat on my horses, the rest of the way. I said, sure, after I finish clearing this tree. He was very grateful for the help, and I was happy to help him.

Doing a favor, when you can, makes everyone feel good.

I have a 15 year old granddaughter. She has no stable emotional age. When my daughter complains I just laugh. Payback for when she was a darling little girl.

1963? I was a teenager just finding out about life. Now old curmudgeon "boomer" that spent 1.5 hours at Comcast trying to get wife's new Samsung S25E to stay connected to network. I like Tech so already did all the crap like deleting eSim etc and installed new. Turns out the mobile network never engaged certain service connection features so both our phones had bern crapping out for last 4 years.

Keep your mind working. I build non SAAMI rifles to squeeze every drop of go juice I can out of them. Reality is just building them similar to how a 6.5CM is built with more tweaks. Not twerks ok?

Keep pushing no matter what your physical limitations may now be from whatever physical changes have occurred over time. You can find a way if you choose to do so. The hardest is to ask for help when you need it. I have found I am closer now to my friends than ever before. They WANT to help but sometimes wait to be asked so they don't "insult" you. Your life can become richer with simple reach out building new memories with friends.
