Fellas: relatively new to this forum...been reading the exploits for the past couple of months...great stories and photos.. a talented group. Some of the hunts you fellas experience are incredable!
Here's my question, I'm looking at Montana area 520 (between the Stillwater & E. Rosebud drainages) for next yr. elk rifle season. I have some family that have acreage close by with horses and mules for packing. They frequent the mountains often...matter of fact they just did the E. Rosebud to Cooke City ride and back last week. Unfortunetly, they are not hunters. I have researched the area using the Montana DNR hunt planner focusing in on stats for drawing a bull permit and harvest records. However, I'm looking for some info from someone who has hunted the area on what to expect. Any help appreciated.
