He and his wife were realtors, he said he was on the Olympic biathlon team as well. He also said he was a fair skeet shooter. I think he was probably a little better than fair. He said when I get ready to kick the bucket I have a couple Winchester rifles I think you’d like. I said you should hand them down to your family. He said them goddamn kids and grandkids are a bunch of no good liberals that would turn them in to the police. I just sat there like wtf and laughed. He was dead serious.

I did not take any firearms from him. I politely told him I wouldn’t feel good about taking his guns. I said I have cash on hand if he decides he wants to sell some I’d give him an offer that would be fair. He said let me look at what I have and we’ll be in touch. He’s old and I just feel weird about it. I like rifles but not more than my morals and ability to sleep at night knowing I’m not a bastard.
