My two cents, even if proven true, we'll get something like $8 bucks out of the suit while the lawyers make all the real money.

Same thing happened with my cell plan recently. Class action lawsuit about something resulted in me getting $4. Big deal

Interesting lawsuit filing against a bunch of big retailers and the archery industries main trade association. I know I’ve bought a ton of archery equipment in the last decade and despite lots of shopping around ever find much of any difference in price. Curious to see what the outcome might be here

“Some bows can cost hundreds of dollars,”

They must have missed the price tag on the Hoyt RX-9 Ultra.

Buy a $2100 bow, throw on a $250 quiver, $445 sight, $85 peep, $350 drop away rest, $200+ in stablizers/gostix, a new case, stuff really adds up fast.. where can i get my $4.61 for this price lawsuit?

I think I payed like $60 for the sight on my bow. Every year I say I'm going to upgrade and look at the prices and that's about as far as that goes. That sight is like 3 or 4 bows old though.

I got like $19! Sucker!

I don't think the intent is that the consumer gets recouped but that it's a big hit on the retailers, sufficiently large to prevent them from doing it again

The whole archery economy reminds me of the cell phone craze. Always "updating" and peddling the latest and greatest. And customers eat it up. I've had my current bow for 18 years. The local bow shop told me my setup was obsolete. I told them to tell the deer that. I was there that day to buy arrows... but I did not.

Had my hoyt carbon spider for about 12 years now I think. Thought about upgrading a few times but I still like the way it shoots. I used to update every few years before that.

I've talked myself out of buying a new bow every season. I just can't justify replacing what already works... especially at the prices they want for the bows I like.
