Archery and Rifle at Same Time

Got a question that I am of course going to verify when I go to the G&F main office to buy my archery license, but curious as to those who have done it.

The area I drew my type 8 elk and plan to buy a general which is valid for "any elk" in my area, the rifle season starts September 1. However, deer for the same area which I drew two type 8 doe/fawn tags, the archery season starts September 1 and ends on the 15th.

I think I am in the legal clear by doing this but I am thinking of carrying both my rifle and bow in case I see deer while elk hunting. Has anyone done that before? Any experience on it? I will be asking the game warden when I go in to get my general and archery tags, but looking for people who have experience on this particular issue.

I got answer valid for Wyoming. I can carry rifle and bow at same time to hunt elk and archery deer concurrently as long as I use right method of kill appropriate for my license.
