89by noon and dropped to 73 by 2pm.
The day before it had also, then just drizzled.
A big black cloud hung for what seemed like hours before the 1st spit.
Pouring all around the valley...drops here.
Thunder got going back and forth overhead.
No strikes. Power on and off.
Then the bang and the clouds released a downpour...for half an hour.
Puddles and some water flowing.
Then it settled into steady rain, for 2 hrs.
Finally. Some rain.
Measurable. Maybe 1/4", guessing.
Getting light now with clouds overhead.
Everything wet, but soaked in good.
Morning had started good.
Neighbor, Dennis, went with me and we picked up my Tacoma and we drove up to Fence Lake and to my friends Amador & Michelle's place.
They had gotten lots more rain and puddles all over.
Amador greeted us and showed us the progress on his new shop/man cave.
Beautiful large barn with quality stucco and a copper roof. Big roll up doors.
Inside paneled with 1x12 planks. Floor of marble...and center bay was his sons 397 full fight body mount bull.
Fitting mount for this fighter. 8x7, 4th swords like machetes. Blades with serrations on their backs. WOW!
I'll ask for a pic...
We went and visited the ladies of the big house.
Michelle and her daughter and G-daughter greeted us with hugs and good cheer. Made me a plate of red chile & rice for the road, the usual....best latin food since my Nana's.
Amador showed Dennis around and me and the girls had some laughs. Michelle made me list work on Tacoma to be done.
She grabbed Dennis and I and hugged us and said a prayer for us.
We might have needed it.
We left them with full hearts and plates for later.
Trucks will be taken care of with pride.
Dennis left me at my gate and walked up to his place.
Dotti greeted me at the door, nose in plate...lol.
We had an apple and string cheese, and I fell asleep for 2 hrs. Fresh for an evening show.
I walked the loop and took inventory of pinion damage this week. Bad.
Dennis & I figure we will be lucky to get 50% left.
Some neighbors have lost 90%.
Thunder overhead as I made tacos.
Rain came and I was stuffed. Dotti finished up and ate her kibble too.
Turned on the tube and watched the Fever pull off a win over the Mystics...barely. One of the best games I have seen in years.
It was a good day in Pie Town.
Sometimes you just need a few friends and maybe a prayer...
The Monsoons have arrived.
