Anyone hunt upland birds with a backpack?

I don't hunt birds with a pack (usually), but I often do for deer and around here, that means snapping the rifle up for a quick shot fairly often. In my opinion, it all comes down to where your pack strap sits. I crank down the chest strap on my pack, so that the shoulder strap isn't sitting right where the recoil pad lands. I generally raise the gun a few times as I'm walking, to make sure the strap isn't in the way.

My Granite Gear 60-liter pack came in handy this morning.
Out chasing roosters in the fog, flock of geese came over low and never saw me...#4 steel from the 20 gauge.
Packed up the goose and back to chasing roosters in the fog.
